I received a poignant lesson on grounding today from Nori’s Sparkle Story.
The giggles are at the top of the tree- blowing in the wind, clicking and clacking. It’s important to remember the top is only part of the tree. Imagine you are moving down the tree…down the trunk…into the roots. You are quiet and calm in the roots.
I found this lesson to be so simple and valuable. I often have surges of raw emotion. It feels like I am blowing in a windstorm- clicking and clacking. Instead of trying to rid myself of the emotion I can remember the emotion is only part of the tree and move myself down to the roots if I need to. But also feel good about riding the winds if, in that moment, it feels right to do so.
We are leaving on our first family trip as a family tomorrow. We are visiting a friends farm in New Hampshire and I’m having a mini 10 year college reunion. I’m worried about logistics, but looking forward to the experience.
