The last breathe of summer is here. The evenings have been crisp and in the 40s, but the days are still warm and sunny. We have been thinking towards the coming winter and preparing the house, our wardrobes and ourselves for the cold. I have a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with our long winters. I really am trying to come to peace with this slow and sleepy time of year. My problem mostly stems from feelings of cabin fever during the endless days of extreme cold and no sunshine. But I am making a concerted effort to embrace the winters months this year. So I am saying good-bye to summer and beginning to welcome autumn.
