I finished my daughter’s Sunday Sweater except for the blocking and buttons. I can’t seem to decide if it is worth buying special wool wash or just using my usual Castile soap. Right now I have a few items waiting to be blocked so I may just finish this new sweater and then have a big blocking party.
I love cables and Lucky (You) has them in abundance. For the life of me I can’t seem to complete a lace knitting project, but I really enjoy cable knitting. My son chose this sweater as his yearly sweater so I cast on late last week. I love the beautiful forest green yarn- it seems to show off the cables quite nicely. Admittedly, I don’t love this pattern. The cabling is beautiful, but the pattern could definitely use some technical editing and clean up. Most of the time you’re working from three pages of pattern at the same time as well as following one chart in two separate places. I’ve been color coding and making notes on the sheets a lot and it helps. In any case, the sleeves have been divided so I anticipate finishing this in the next week or so.
